Megan Mauro to serve as inaugural AIN Texas Chapter President
AUSTIN, TX – The American Innovators Network (AIN) today announced the launch of its Texas Chapter, expanding the organization’s mission to champion entrepreneurs and ensure “Little Tech” builders and creators have a seat at the table in shaping policy surrounding artificial intelligence (AI). Megan Mauro, a policy leader with over a decade of experience shaping advocacy efforts across Texas, will serve as the inaugural President of AIN’s Texas Chapter.
“Texas has a long track record of turning innovation into opportunity,” said Megan Mauro, AIN Texas Chapter President. “By uniting founders, developers, and risk-takers across our state, we will make sure they have a voice in shaping the policies that impact the future of all innovators here in Texas and across the nation. I look forward to leading the charge as we build stronger connections and ensure all businesses, including Little Tech companies, have the support they need to thrive and contribute to the Texas Miracle.”
Megan is a sixth-generation Texan who serves as Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff at the Texas Association of Business, guiding policy strategy and building coalitions that advance the state’s business priorities. She also leads TAB’s Tech Means Business Coalition, uniting employers across industries to champion smart, pro-innovation policies that position Texas as the nation’s hub for technology and growth.
As Chapter President, Megan will serve as the organization’s local spokesperson, lead educational events, mobilize grassroots supporters, connect innovators with policymakers, and highlight the AI-powered solutions being built throughout the Lone Star State. Megan will also continue to work in tandem with members of the Tech Means Business coalition on pro-business priorities that support innovation in Texas.
“Little Tech founders and developers deserve a seat at the table to advocate for policies that allow them to innovate and build,” said Vanessa Day, Executive Director of the American Innovators Network. “With Megan at the helm, we are confident that AIN’s Texas Chapter will help ensure that start-ups play a leading role in current and future policy conversations on AI. We are excited to work with local entrepreneurs in Texas so that we can learn, collaborate, unite around common goals, and ensure early-stage companies have a fair chance to compete and grow.”
