The American Innovators Network applauds Senator Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) proposal to establish a federal AI sandbox program within the White House’s Office of Science and Technology Policy. This program will allow developers to test and refine AI tools in a controlled environment while protecting innovation and consumer trust.

As the voice for American startups and bold entrepreneurs, we know firsthand the issues and opportunities facing the national Little Tech community. By reducing barriers to AI adoption and preventing a 50-state patchwork of complex and conflicting AI laws, we can ensure startups remain focused on building AI products here in the United States. In order for the U.S. to dominate and win the global tech race against China, Congress must act quickly to secure a national framework for AI.

We believe steps such as this will solidify the United States as the worldwide leader and preeminent voice for AI.
